The Mother of Christ – pen, December 2010

In honor of the upcoming Mother’s Day and my mom’s birthday (which is tomorrow!) I want to dedicate this drawing to all mothers out there, especially my own. Our mothers are INCREDIBLE. Really. They have the closest thing to Godlike love for their children, and I know they sacrifice so much for our sakes.
I know that the love of his mother helped Jesus Christ prepare to take upon him the pains of the world as well. We do not worship Mary because she was still just a woman, but we do reverence her and honor her as “the most beautiful and fair above all virgins” (1 Nephi 11:15) and truly a choice woman.  With the help of our mothers who teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to their children, our homes can become a sacred place and a refuge from the winds of the world (see Helaman 5:12). Mothers – please know that your work is of the most sacred duties given to mankind and that you are making a huge difference on the future! We love you and thank you for everything!

About sisterweber

I am currently a Mormon missionary serving in western New York for The Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-Day Saints! Let me tell you how strange I am currently - I don't watch tv or any form of entertainment; I left behind my family, home, school, and art I love so so much; I'm working 6 days a week, 14 hours a day to bring people unto Christ; I'm not getting paid (I'm actually paying); and I CHOSE to do it! The reason why? I know this is the most important thing I could ever do. I know that there is nothing in all the world that can bring people greater happiness than the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness. This message I'm sharing with people is unique and true. God loves all of us so much that He has restored the church Jesus Christ set up onto the earth again, and all people have a right to know. Everyone has a right to be as happy as I am.
